Two Black Country cannabis farms have been busted by police in just one night.

The West Midlands police seized 150 cannabis plants from a drugs factory in Brierley Hill then went on to capture a haul from Dilloways Lane, Wolverhampton at 10.30pm.

Force Response raided the class B drugs from both properties on February 21.

On the same night a Yorkshire Terrier narrowly avoided being Tasered after he was found hiding in the shadows of a cannabis farm in Wolverhampton

Officers rescued the pooch, took him to vets and nicknamed him Don Pablo after the Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Being found in possession of class B drug can result in up to five years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.

Those convicted for supplying or production of class B drugs can face up to 14 years in prison.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Cannabis plants found at a property in Dilloways Lane, Wolverhampton just after 10.30pm on February 21. Enquiries are on-going."
