A busy Birmingham road has been blocked by a massive fallen tree.

Birmingham Road in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield , was closed in both directions by the incident, which happened at around 7.45pm on Saturday, June 15.

West Midlands Fire Service's Erdington account tweeted: "Please retweet.

"Complete road closure (at) Birmingham Road, Wylde Green, between Green Lanes and Station Road due to a fallen tree."

It was not known how long the road would be closed for or what caused the tree to fall.
