The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner is being informed.
Scene is directly opposite the crown court
The incident took place directly opposite Birmingham crown court.
People arriving for court have been stopping to look at the scene.
Two women heading into the court have spoken of their shock.
“We don’t know what’s happened, only that a man has been found badly injured on the ground,” one of the women said.
“What an awful thing to happen.
“Let’s hope he’s ok.”
Traffic can still pass through the area
Although the scene of the incident is taped off, cars and pedestrians can still go past it.
Several police vehicles remain at the scene and the area immediately around the car park is behind a cordon.
But traffic is driving past it on Newton Street and Dalton Street.
Members of the public can also walk on the pavement.
However, no cars are been allowed to enter the NCP car park.
Cars are been allowed to leave, however.
