A baffled woman was forced to put out an online appeal to find the owners of a set of false TEETH - after she found them on her doorstep

Emma Weston, 31, was heading out the door to work when she found the gnashers, despite her home being at the end of a long drive.

She asked a neighbour if they could shed any light, but when nobody could offer any clues on the owner, she put a post on Facebook.

Emma said: "I was pretty bemused and wondered how they managed to get there.

"They were outside my front door pretty much.

"We have a driveway so I couldn’t understand how they’d got to my doorstep.

"I was just baffled.

"I knew people would laugh but they are expensive things to replace."

"I know they can be costly and just wanted to reunite them with the right mouth."

Eventually a local man came forward to claim the teeth she found in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, on Friday.

But Emma said he has asked her to keep his identity secret.
