Birmingham City this weekend welcome Blackburn Rovers to St Andrew’s, almost two weeks since their last fixture - a 1-0 defeat to lowly Bolton.

Blues have been forced to stew on that upset, having last weekend off as the FA Cup fifth round took place.

Garry Monk, who saw a number of his senior players take part in an U23s game against Crewe Alexandra last Saturday, welcomes Tony Mowbray and his Rovers outfit to B9 here, and will be hoping to send them packing empty handed.

Blues fought back from two goals down to claim and unlikely point when these two teams met in the reverse fixture at Ewood Park back in December.

Results have taken a turn for the worse since Rovers boss Mowbray collected the January Manager of the Month award, so away fans heading to St Andrew’s aren’t particularly hopeful.

BLACKBURN FANS

TomPhil : Right now a draw would be a belting result, credit to the away crowd yet again as away at Brum has seen some really poor turnouts down the years so I hope the good one gets something to cheer

JHRover : A draw would be decent. I’ve no idea what to expect. They are hard to beat at their place although last time out lost to lowly Bolton so it isn’t exactly mission impossible to go there and win.

Arbitro : Just what the doctor ordered. Playing away at a ground where we rarely get anything, in poor form with an acute shortage of centre backs.

Bigdoggsteel : Birmingham didn’t look anything special when I watched them earlier in the season, but we still managed to spectacularly capitulate as only we can. As for Saturday, who knows? Could easily be a meek defeat the way things are going

Don Said: Rovers and Birmingham are very similar sides at the moment. Two average championship teams, both containing one of the better players in the league in attack giving a slight edge over teams like Wigan/Millwall (Dack, Adams).

Consistently inconsistent throughout the season, neither close to going down, neither in all likelihood has the squad to make the play offs.

How will Birmingham City get on against Blackburn Rovers?

2000+ VOTES SO FAR

Simon Garners 194: Let’s put it this way,it’s one game you wouldn’t have on your weekend accy! It’s Rovers...roll the Dice.

Blue Blood: We seem to be very reliant on Dack and Graham so if Brum can keep them quiet - and managing 2 of an 11 is not difficult - then we could well be continuing our losing streak. Brum are a decent team and I think that’s what will happen.

Ste Pratt: Away at Birmingham isn’t going to be easy but we need a positive result. Can’t let all of our good work this season go to waste. Last few results have been tough to take, but we are still doing ok.
