The Premier League has agreed in principle that it will kickstart return plans on the 17th of June - hinting that Birmingham City will return to action within the next month.

Top flight clubs met earlier today to discuss a footballing return, and they have agreed to plan for a return to action on June 17th, while the Championship intends to play out it's structured fixtures next month, in the same order that they were scheduled.

Luton Town chief executive Gary Sweet has suggested that clubs will follow the same path, as was the case before football's suspension, that means the Blues will kick off against West Bromwich Albion in June.

Sweet said: “We’ve had a good full week of training back at Brache, as the first phase return to training protocol has been successful. The lads have been excellent, have been professional, enthusiastic about the return.

“We have had no positive cases on the two tests we’ve done so far. Indeed the league generally, apart from a couple, haven’t had any positive tests, which is fantastic news.

“Not for that reason but as was planned, the Championship is going to play the rest of the season in the order that it was structured in terms of fixtures.

Here are the remaining Blues fixtures:

Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town
