Blackburn defender Lewis Travis admits the Rovers dressing room still regret not seeing off Birmingham City at Ewood Park in December.

The two sides will meet again in the reverse fixture at St Andrew’s this Saturday, but while the previous meeting brings back memories of resilience and triumph for Blues, it was viewed by the opposition as two points dropped.

Rovers, who have lost their last four matches stretching back to the beginning of the month, are below Blues in the table and have only won four matches on the road in the Championship this season.

Youngster Travis, though says they’ll be gunning for Blues this weekend.

“The defeats will come to an end, we just need to take things one game at a time. We see Birmingham as a game we can win. We should have beaten them earlier in the season, but slipped up,” Travis said.

“Morale in the dressing room is a little down, but everyone knows we are a good team - the season we have had so far shows that.

“We’ll be taking each game as it comes and keep giving our all. Throughout the season we’ve played worse than we have in the last four matches but have won games.

“The performances have been pretty good, but we’ve just come out of the game with the wrong results.”
