The race for Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson is hotting up.

Reports have claimed the attacker will be allowed to leave Liverpool for £21m this summer.

The 22-year-old who spent the season on loan at Derby County wants a chance to make an impression with the Reds.

But The Mirror said he will be sold, and that has alerted several clubs in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig named as in the hunt for the talented youngster.

They reckon there is also Spanish interest with La Liga sides Valencia and Getafe tracking Wilson, alongside a host of Premier League clubs – including Leicester and newly-promoted play-off final winners Aston Villa .

Wilson played 49 times for Derby last season scoring 18 goals along the way.

However, for all the huge clubs connected with the starlet, it’s Wolves who are the favourites to sign him.

The latest SkyBet odds are:

Wolves 5/1

Bournemouth 8/1

Leeds 9/1

Leicester 9/1

Newcastle 9/1

Derby 14/1

Brighton 16/1

RB Leipzig 16/1

In January Klopp said of Wilson: “I’m really happy about what Harry is doing. It’s fantastic. It’s a perfect example for it sometimes being really good to leave home to show up somewhere else.

“I really think Harry left in the right moment. Since I was in everybody told me Harry Wilson needed to go on loan. He scored a lot of goals for the U23s already.

“He went last year to Hull, he was already good. He came back, pre-season was pre-season, and he went to Derby and now he is with Frank [Lampard].”

And with that in mind the Liverpool Echo reckon he’ll get his long-awaited chance to impress at Anfield.

They report Wilson’s big Liverpool chance will finally arrive next month when the Reds return for pre-season training on July 6.

The add: “What happens between now and the close of the transfer window on August 8, as it stands, is firmly in Wilson’s hands.”
