West Bromwich Albion have clinched a deal for Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the Hawthorns on the same day it was announced that Salomon Rondon had move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

The Danish striker will wear the famous No.9 shirt at The Hawthorns and Head Coach Slaven Bilić is delighted to have signed the 6ft 2in striker.

"He is a player who has got more than a bit of everything, he's strong, he has pace, he has good skill," said the Croatian.

"He knows the league, he knows the country, he's already got good experience but he's still got room to improve. He's not the finished article.

"I hope he's going to be a very good player for us."

Rondon has posted an emotional message to both West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United supporters following his exit from English football.

The Venezuelan has completed a move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, for an undisclosed fee.

The move will see the striker once again team up with Rafel Benitez, whom he thrived under during his season in the North East last year.

Albion had confirmed that Rondon was to leave the club this summer, with him only having one year left on his deal at The Hawthorns.

After scooping the club's player of the season last campaign, many Toon fans hoped that Rondon would once again make the trip to Tyneside.

But Benitez's departure all but ended those hopes and he now leaves these shores after four seasons.

Taking to social media after his Far East move was confirmed, he said: “Today is the end of an incredible spell for me in the Premier League. During these past four seasons I’ve seen my dreams come true, like scoring in some of the greatest stadiums in the world or hearing some of the most loyal supporters chant my name.

“In my final year, I was extremely lucky to be part of a very special club, where I really felt loved by the supporters and after putting in a lot of effort, I enjoyed one of my best seasons on an individual level and we achieved a good outcome as a team.

"Being Newcastle’s number 9 is certainly an honour that’ll always stay with me.

“I also feel very grateful to WBA for the affection from every single Baggie right from day one and for the opportunity the club gave me by bringing me to English football, which I today say goodbye to whilst knowing that the future in this sport is unpredictable and full of adventure.”
