Wolves-linked teen sensation Joao Felix is not short of options this summer.

The Benfica star has been linked with the biggest clubs in Europe, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, and the Madrid clubs to name but a few.

It is an indication of their incredible progress and elite contacts that Wolves , via Jorge Mendes, are even mentioned in the same sentence as a player who is the subject of a £105million release clause.

The 19-year-old’s future has been one of the sagas of the summer so far - and now that Portugal’s Nations League commitments are behind him, a move away from the Lisbon seems likely.

The Daily Star says Manchester City are willing to buy the teenager and loan him back to stay at Benfica for another season , as a ploy to win the race for his signature.

They say Pep Guardiola is hopeful his willingness to allow Felix to stay put will give them the edge over their rivals.

However, other reports claim Atletico Madrid are the front-runners having given the youngster assurances he will get plenty of first team opportunities.

The bookmakers have those two as the clear front-runners.
