Zohore checks in

West Bromwich Albion have clinched a deal for Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the Hawthorns on the same day it was announced that Salomon Rondon had move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang.

The Danish striker will wear the famous No.9 shirt at The Hawthorns and Head Coach Slaven Bilić is delighted to have signed the 6ft 2in striker.

"He is a player who has got more than a bit of everything, he's strong, he has pace, he has good skill," said the Croatian.

"He knows the league, he knows the country, he's already got good experience but he's still got room to improve. He's not the finished article.

"I hope he's going to be a very good player for us."

And another one?

West Bromwich Albion have moved a step closer to confirming Rotherham defender Semi Ajayi as their third signing of the summer.

The 25-year-old has been extensively linked with a move away from The New York Stadium following the Millers' relegation from the Championship at the end of last season.

Rotherham boss Paul Warne has confirmed that they have received two bids for the versatile defender, with one having been rejected from Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.

But reports have now claimed that Albion bosses have come to an agreement with the League One team and will arrive at The Hawthorns for an undisclosed fee, with claims in the national press suggesting around £1.5m.

Rondon's parting message

Salomon Rondon has posted an emotional message to both West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United supporters following his exit from English football.

The Venezuelan has completed a move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, for an undisclosed fee.

The move will see the striker once again team up with Rafel Benitez, whom he thrived under during his season in the North East last year.

Albion had confirmed that Rondon was to leave the club this summer, with him only having one year left on his deal at The Hawthorns.

After scooping the club's player of the season last campaign, many Toon fans hoped that Rondon would once again make the trip to Tyneside.

But Benitez's departure all but ended those hopes and he now leaves these shores after four seasons.

Taking to social media after his Far East move was confirmed, he said: “Today is the end of an incredible spell for me in the Premier League. During these past four seasons I’ve seen my dreams come true, like scoring in some of the greatest stadiums in the world or hearing some of the most loyal supporters chant my name.
