Superstar Sir Rod Stewart has announced a gig in Birmingham in support of his 30th studio album, Blood Red Roses.

The legendary singer will perform at Arena Birmingham for one night only on Thursday, December 13.

It will follow on from his seven-date stadium tour, which includes a performance at the Molineux Stadium, home of the Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. on Saturday, June 8.

Rod, 74, last performed in the city in December 2016, as part of his sold-out UK tour.

Since the beginning of his career in the 70s, Sir Rod has sold more than 200million records worldwide, as well as clocking up six UK Official No.1 singles and eight UK Official No.1 albums.

Fans who are lucky enough to grab tickets to the concert can expect to hear some of Rod's biggest hits over the last four decades, as well as tracks from his latest record, Blood Red Roses.

Tickets for Sir Rod Stewart at Arena Birmingham go on general sale this Friday (22) at 9am.

A live fan club pre-sale will open on Thursday (21) at 8.45am, followed by a closed venue pre-sale at 9am.
