M6 set for ‘Brexit go-slow’ protest drive

Drivers are being warned of delays throughout Friday morning due to a ‘Brexit go-slow’.

Lorry drivers are being encouraged by the Brexit Direct Action group to join the protest.

The ‘Go Slow’ protest is scheduled for the M6 from Junction 32 down to the Croft interchange at Junction 21 where it meets the M62.

Vehicles taking part are expected to go at an average speed of 20mph.

Organisers say it will start around 7.30am from the Broughton interchange and work its way south.

The ‘go-slow’ is in protest about the delay to Brexit as Theresa May seeks a three-month extension from the European Union.

The UK had been due to leave the EU on Friday 29 March following the referendum in 2016.
