Police said around 10.32am on Monday (18 March) threats had been made over social media towards a pupil at the school.
A police spokesman said: “Safeguarding measures were put in place and there was a heavier police presence in the area for reassurance purposes.
“We are treating this as a targeted threat and do not believe there is any wider concern for the public.”
Police also had Section 60 – stop and search – powers authorised in the Frenchwood and Avenham areas until 5pm on Monday.
