- The Boise Contemporary Theater has been around for more than 20 years. This summer, the founding artistic director was fired. We talk with him about the scathing letter he wrote challenging the board of trustees at the nonprofit, and then speak with Boise State Public Radio's George Prentice about what the changes mean.
- Last week, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson paid a visit to Idaho.During his visit, community leaders talked about the state's rising housing prices and low housing stock. Idaho state Sen. Cherie Buckner Webb (D-Boise) met with Carson, and will be in studio to talk about the current housing crisis.
- In May, we talked with water quality advocate Christopher Swain about his decision to swim the Boise River this summer. The goal of his adventure is to learn more about the health of the important waterway. He dove into the river near the Sawtooths in early August, and will be in studio to give us an update on what he's seen so far beneath the surface.
- Girls on the Run started in 2001 with the goal of inspiring "girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running." We'll talk with organization leaders about their work to serve third through sixth grade girls, getting them to the point where they can run a 5k with confidence.
