THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the region of north Shropshire and north Wales.

A yellow warning for rain across the area has been issued for the morning of Tuesday, June 25.

Some areas have already been feeling the full effects of the heavy rain, with streets in Chirk flooding for part of Monday evening.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

"Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."

Heavy rain is expected to blanket the region for most of the morning with a chance of thunder.

It is expected to be warm and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 21°C.
