Experience this New Hampshire chocolate festival while on snowshoes
Eight sweet stops promise brownie sundaes, chocolate fondue, and more.
How far would you go for chocolate?
On this snowshoe tour, participants will venture on a wintry trail near New Hampshire’s White Mountains during the area’s Chocolate Festival on Feb. 24.
According to the tour’s page, stops along the trail will prepare treats from hundreds of pounds of chocolate, such as brownie sundaes, chocolate cookies, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and chocolate fountains and fondue. Snowshoe-clad attendees will make stops at the Whitaker Woods Meeting House, Eastern Inns, Stonehurst Manor, the 1785 Inn, Adventure Suites, the Touring Center at Ragged Mountain Equipment, the Riverside Inn B&B, and Old Field House.
The snowshoe tour is hosted by Ridj-it, which bills itself as an “adventure carpool platform” where users can create events, find drivers and riders, and embark on outings outside of Boston. The carpool for the chocolate snowshoe tour will depart from the Wellington Orange Line stop in Medford at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24. The tour itself kicks off at 1o a.m., and the carpool will return to the Wellington station at 9 p.m. that evening.
Tickets are $25. Snowshoes are required for the outing, and can be rented when registering for an additional $12.
