ReelHouse is now open in Marina Bay with shellfish platters and waterfront views

The restaurant will offer a free water shuttle from Boston later this summer.

There’s a new place to dine on shrimp cocktails and fried calamari by the water.

On Friday, a second location of ReelHouse opened to the public, introducing a 300-seat restaurant to the Meriel Marina Bay luxury apartment complex in Quincy. The nautically-themed space shares plenty of similarities with the first location of ReelHouse in East Boston: a strong focus on seafood, patio seating with waterfront views, and, in the near future, a complimentary boat shuttle that will help Boston residents get to the restaurant from Southie.

Inside the 5,880-square-foot space designed by Sousa Designs, chef Marc Orfaly created a menu that reads like a greatest hits list of seafood: citrus-cured hamachi, salmon crudo tacos, roasted striped bass, and cioppino with mussels, clams, shrimp, and saffron lobster broth. A raw bar offers a daily selection of oysters, along with shrimp cocktails, clam ceviche, and shellfish platters piled high with shrimp, clams, oysters, and lobster.

Beer, wine, and cocktails are all on the drink menu, including seasonal drinks that have garnered success at the Eastie location, like the ReelHouse Painkiller with rum, orange, pineapple, crème de coconut, and ground nutmeg.

Outside on the patio, over 100 seats offer waterfront views, while inside, diners can settle into custom booths or take advantage of the full-service bar. A quick jaunt on a free water shuttle from South Boston will become available to guests later this summer.

This is the Navy Yard Hospitality Group’s fourth project in its portfolio, which also includes Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar in Faneuil Hall, Pier 6 in Charlestown, and ReelHouse in East Boston.
