Roxbury teen charged after shots fired near Aquarium station Sunday night

A Roxbury teenager is facing a variety of gun-related charges after transit police say he fired a gun while leaving Aquarium station Sunday night following an apparent “unknown disturbance.”The 16-year-old male is facing charges of four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition, according to transit police.It was around 9:50 p.m. that transit police responded to a report of shots fired at Aquarium station, officials said. The disturbance between the male teenagers went from onboard a Blue Line train to the station platform.As the teens were leaving the station, transit police believe “at least two shots were fired from an unknown calibre handgun.” No one was hit. Transit police closed the station during an investigation afterward, they said.“We are extremely grateful no one was injured during tonight’s incident and all available resources will be deployed to identify, locate and apprehend the person/s responsible for such reckless and criminal conduct,” Superintendent Richard Sullivan said in the previous release.
