A 43-year-old Revere man was arrested in South Paris, Maine, on Wednesday for manslaughter, a charge stemming from the death of a Maynard woman at a Boston hotel in March, police said Thursday.

Aaron Parsons was taken into custody by the Boston Police Department Fugitive Unit with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Maine Violent Offender Task Force, Boston police said in a statement. The arrest comes after the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death of 29-year-old Sarah Dorany a homicide on July 28, officials said.

Detectives filed for an arrest warrant for Parsons, who is also charged with engaging in sexual conduct for a fee and as a fugitive from justice, on Tuesday, police said.

According to authorities, on March 13 around 12:10 p.m., officers responded to a radio call for a cardiac arrest at the Verb Hotel, 1271 Boylston St.

There, they found an unresponsive woman, later identified as Dorany, who was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Parsons is being held at the Oxford County Jail pending his arraignment and until he is brought back to Massachusetts, police said.
