A 31-year-old woman died in an apparent drowning off of Squaw Rock in Quincy early Tuesday morning, according to police.Police received a call from a woman at 4:22 a.m. saying that her friend had gone in the water and she couldn’t find her, according to a Facebook post from Quincy police.

Emergency responders found the woman’s body 40 yards from the shore shortly after 5 a.m., police said.
The woman’s identity has not been released as authorities needed to make contact with her family.
The police don’t believe the incident is suspicious.
