Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Andover

Authorities are investigating the death of a motorcyclist on Monday following an early morning crash in Andover. Andover police said officers and fire rescue units responded to the scene of the crash near the intersection of Whittier and Elm streets around 5:30 a.m. Police said a jogger had called 911 and reported that a motorcyclist had crashed into a utility pole. The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.Police asked drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area while detectives investigate at the scene.
