It is the first nonstop route from Logan Airport to mainland Africa, according to a Massport press release. The route will run on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, according to the release.

For its inaugural flight, Royal Air Maroc’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner received a traditional water cannon salute and the Moroccan flag was raised during a ceremony in Logan’s Terminal E. The airline also plans to fly the 787-8 Dreamliner on the route during future trips, according to Massport.
