Maps: Here’s how much it’s expected to snow in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The National Weather Service says parts of northern New England could get their first measurable snowfall of the season.
The participation is expected to start as rain and turn to snow Thursday night and Friday morning.
The weather service says 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected in northern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine with up to 6 inches in the mountain summits of northern Vermont.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s on Thursday night.
For areas south of the mountains rain will change to snow late this evening. The best chance for slick roads will be for areas north of Portland. pic.twitter.com/hWr7iIwLdY

The first flakes fly for many tomorrow as snow starts across the mountains tomorrow morning, and mixes in with rain tomorrow evening elsewhere. The precipitation ends as snow tomorrow night, and then temperatures fall Thursday night, leading to spotty black ice early Friday. pic.twitter.com/OBKKeOQxen

A band of light snow is spreading across northern NY and VT this morning. This band will slowly push southward through the day, generally ending late this evening. Please let us know what you’re seeing at your location! pic.twitter.com/x68onlXtlB
