Bicyclist injured in South End, taken to hospital

A person riding a bike in the South End Wednesday evening was injured aftering falling off their bike to avoid a motor vehicle, according to Boston police.

The inciden occurred just before 6 p.m. near Massachusetts and Columbus avenues, said Officer Stephen McNulty, a department spokesman.

The person’s injuries were not disclosed. They are believed to be non-life-threatening, McNulty said.

The driver stayed on the scene.

No further information was available.

Note: An earlier version of this story stated the bicyclist had been struck. Boston police later corrected that information to say the person fell off their bike.
