Three former state troopers are facing new charges in connection with the ongoing overtime abuse investigation being conducted by Attorney General Maura Healey’s office.

Healey’s office says David Wilson, 58, of Charlton, John Giulino, 68, of Lanesboro and David Keefe, 53, or Norfolk – all former lieutenants assigned to Troop E – were indicted today on charges of filing fraudulent claims for overtime pay while monitoring traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike in 2015.

All three are facing charges of larceny over $250, procurement fraud and standards of conduction violations, Healey said.

Prosecutors say Wilson claimed 116 hours in overtime pay in 2015 which resulted in a payment of $11,000 in time he did not work while he was shift commander in Troop E’s Duty Office in Boston. Wilson took home over $270,000 in 2015.

Giulino, who earned over $215,000 that year, claimed 180 hours in overtime pay he allegedly did not work to make an additional $18,000 while working as commander of the Westfield barracks, the AG’s office said.

Keefe, who was commander of the Weston barracks, claimed 50 hours of overtime he allegedly did not work and eared $5,000 in overtime pay, taking home over $204,000 in 2015.

All three state troopers are expected to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court at a later date.
