It’s the “Saturday Night Live” callback we didn’t know we needed: Lexington’s own Rachel Dratch just proved she can still rock “mom jeans” more than 15 years after the famous sketch, embracing them as she received a makeover from “Queer Eye” style expert Tan France.

The comedian stepped into the spotlight during the latest episode of France’s YouTube series “Dressing Funny,” where she was forced to try on clothes that the fashion guru and her friend/fellow SNL vet Tina Fey picked out. And while there were plenty of pieces worth mentioning — like a pair of blindingly white platform, Velcro sneakers that gave everyone serious “Ellen vibes,” or the thigh-high leather boots and oversized sweatshirt she sported for an Ariana Grande look — the denim deja vu was definitely the highlight.

As “SNL” fans remember, the “Mom Jeans” commercial first aired in 2003. Dratch and Fey were featured in the bit alongside Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, who all modeled matching, unflatteringly high-waisted pants in a way “that says, ‘I’m not a woman anymore, I’m a mom.’ ”

In the new video for France’s online series, he put Dratch in the iconically awful cut of jeans for her last outfit and, as soon as she strutted out in the familiar slacks, both she and Fey were back in their element, singing the old, fake jingle in unison.

“It’s giving you everything: the support, a light color, just flattening your butt, place to keep your wallet in your front pocket,” Fey told Dratch.

Luckily, France and Fey wanted to get in on the mom jean moment, putting on their own pair and modeling them alongside Dratch to end the episode.
