When Tom Brady lets loose from his notoriously strict diet, it looks like he does it right. The GOAT just followed up the Patriots pre-season win against the Titans on Saturday with a serious cheat meal.

Before jetting back to Brookline this weekend, Brady and some of his teammates grabbed a slice — or several — at DeSano Pizza in Nashville, Tenn. The quarterback legend shared pics from their outing, where they chowed down on trays of pizza laden with meat and multiple melted cheeses. And before ending the eating excursion, which also included the likes of Julian Edelman and David Andrews, the NFL star schmoozed with the small restaurant chain’s proprietor, Scott DeSano.

Honestly, if there ever were a time for Brady to get back on the wagon with normal people food, it seems like this visit would be it. The place prides itself in keeping it old school and authentically Neapolitan, adhering to all of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana’s guidelines, which are crazy specific about how a pizza must be prepared — from its crust to its sauce. Specifically, it seems that Brady and his football brethren feasted on the San Gennaro specialty, which was topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, sausage, peppadews, garlic, caramelized onions, scamorza, mozzarella di bufala and pecorino romano.

As TB12 fans can tell from that list of delicious ingredients, these little pieces of crusty heaven violate Brady’s food protocol for a few reasons. However, he and supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen have a history of going off plan and splurging — albeit rarely — with DeSano’s goodies. And this time around, even TB12 co-founder Alex Guerrero got a taste of the dairy- and gluten-laced action, so it must be OK.
