Chihuahuas surrendered from a Jamaica Plain home and taken to the MSPCA are looking for new families committed to loving the tiny dogs.
Seventeen chihuahuas, 6 males and 11 females, ranging in age from 1 to 4, are up for adoption after spending their dog days having most likely never left the apartment in which they lived.
The pack is active and in good health, according to the MSPCA, and will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before adoption.
Eleven of the dogs are at the MSPCA’s Jamaica Plain adoption center and six have been taken to the MSPCA-Cape Cod in Centerville.
The MSPCA is throwing a bone to those who adopt the chihuahuas and offering free obedience training as part of the adoption fee.
