FLOOD alerts have been issued for parts of Dorset as Storm Freya brings in stormy conditions.
The Environment Agency has issued an alert for Poole Harbour which is valid from 9.15pm.
It will be in force for two hours after high tide and will particularly affect the Wareham Quay area.
The forecast wind direction is West South West. The forecast wind strength is Force 7.
An alert has also been issued for the east coast of the county, particularly Preston Beach.
It will be in force for two hours after high tide at 5pm.
A third alert covers the whole of the west coast of Dorset, particularly Lyme Regis, West Bay and Chiswell and will remain in force for two hours following the times of high water.
The Environment Agency said tides along the west coast of Dorset will be at their highest between 4pm and 8pm with high water predicted between 6pm and 6.30pm.
Flood alerts mean flooding is possible and urge people to be prepared.
Meanwhile, flood warnings have been issued for Lyme Regis and West Bay harbours.
Flood warnings are more serious and mean flooding is expected and immediate action is required.
