WINNERS of this years Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards were announced in an evening of glitz and glamour.

Members of the Bracknell community picked up their awards last night (March 15) at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.

Finalists in 11 categories such as education, charity, business and sport all picked up deserving awards for their hard work and dedication.

Ady Williams, former professional footballer for Reading FC co-presented the awards, alongside BBC Radio Berkshire's Andrew Peach.

Bracknell Forest Mayor Councillor Alvin Finch, said: "It is great to be celebrating all of these people who do so many things, and why not.

"It feels a bit strange being at a gala in a way but on the other hand it is a celebration."
