Report on the cost of a brain tumour diagnosis presented in Westminster today

1 min read

Earlier this year, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Brain Tumours (APPGBT) began its first-ever Inquiry. Launched on 27th February 2018, the Inquiry sought to learn more about the economic and social impacts of a brain tumour diagnosis in order to shine a light on these issues, many of which, although seemingly invisible, are felt deeply.

Today (Tuesday 20th November) in Westminster will be the launch of the subsequent report of the APPGBT’s Inquiry – ‘Brain Tumours – A cost too much too bear?” We will, of course be in attendance as Derek Thomas MP for St Ives and Chair of the APPG (for which we provide the secretariat) introduces the report to parliamentarians and to our campaigners.

The topics raised in this report will be used to guide and inform the future work of the APPGBT. Working with key decision-makers, the APPGBT will continue to strive to improve outcomes for brain tumour patients and their families and facilitate the implementation of these recommendations.

The report is available to be downloaded on our website.
