BRIDGWATER is home to a tasty new offering on Court Street.

On Monday Ma Larkin’s opened its doors for the first time to customers.

The new shop has been opened by Bridgwater couple Adam and Paula Cambrook, a change of scene for Adam who had previously worked as a taxi driver in Bridgwater for 14 years.

The new food outlet will serve and deliver rolls and Yorkshire pudding wraps with a range of fillings including various meats with stuffing and gravy, pork and apple sauce, beef with horseradish or mustard, pulled pork and coleslaw and roast potatoes.

Mr Cambrook said: “I’ve been thinking about opening a business in Bridgwater for a couple of years now.

“There is nowhere in Bridgwater offering what we are doing.”

The name comes from the 1990’s TV sitcom The Darling Buds of May, with the mother of the family on the show being Florence ‘Ma’ Larkin, played by Pam Ferris.

“The idea to open a food outlet was actually first suggested by a good friend of mine,” Mr Cambrook said.

“Whenever he came round to eat at our house, my wife would cook enough to feed most of Bridgwater!”

“Myself and Paula believe Bridgwater needs something new like this.”
