A longer piece of chilling CCTV footage has been released following the rape of a teenager who was approached by a man outside a Bristol McDonald's restaurant.

The victim, who is aged in her late teens, was approached outside the Horsefair branch at about 1am on Friday, October 5.

She was then taken somewhere in St Paul’s and raped, police said.

Avon and Somerset Police had initially disclosed a six-second CCTV clip of a man they wanted to speak to in December last year in their initial appeal for information.

However, having not identified the man the force has now issued a segment of the footage that is 20 seconds longer.

The chilling footage shows a man in a hooded top outside the side door of the McDonald's restaurant. He then walks down Hanover Court - between Cabot Circus at the fast-food restaurant - towards Bond Street.

The teen's attacker is described as Asian, about 5ft 6ins tall and wearing a black hooded top, jeans and black trainers at the time.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re renewing our appeal for witnesses and information after a rape in Bristol last year.
