Bristol City assistant Jamie McAllister has played down his half-time row with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Robins assistant was shown a yellow card at half-time during his side's FA Cup exit at the hands of Premier League Wolves, as the ill feeling between the two benches that overshadowed the league meeting between the sides last season continued.

Yet McAllister put the incident down to passion, and said he did not even realise he had been booked.

He said: "Just a few words exchanged, nothing, just a bit of passion I suppose.

"I didn’t know I got a yellow card until the fourth-official said to me in the second half, he said 'you’ve been given a warning' so I didn’t know it was a caution until afterwards.

"But no, it’s just something that happens in a game, a disagreement just before halftime on the decisions made and that was it really."
