We’ve established a number of things in Bristol's food scene over the past few years, one of which is that Bristol definitely likes a burger.

We've always had a pretty booming burger scene here, but over the past few years it has fully exploded and there's now so much choice when it comes to getting our chops around a juicy patty.

As well as the independent restaurants that have been firm favourites in the city for years, some new places have opened to give meat-craving diners even more choice.

And if you're someone who considers yourself to be a particularly fond fan of burgers - a competition has just been announced which will most definitely pique your interest.

Burger Theory on Baldwin Street

Popular discount food service Wriggle is offering one lucky person the chance to win a year's supply of free burgers to celebrate Wriggle Burger Week, which runs from August 19-25.

Throughout the week there will be special edition burgers to try, secret menu dishes, Wriggle exclusives and more - but the most exciting feature of Wriggle Burger Week is undoubtedly the competition.

A Wriggle spokesperson said: "Because burgers are quite literally the best food on the planet, we want to pay homage to the exceptional array of burgers we have available on our doorstep."

Entering the competition could not be any easier.

How to enter

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is buy any Wriggle burger deal during Wriggle Burger Week and you’ll automatically be entered - while extra purchases get you an extra entry.

Wriggle will then chose one lucky winner at the end of the week, who will get to decide which venue they’d like to enjoy their free burgers at for a whole year.

More information about Wriggle Burger Week can be found on Wriggle's website.
