Annie Mac has been revealed as the headlining act for one of Glastonbury's most alternative and lively stages.

The Radio 1 star will play at Bristol's famous Arcadia when the team return to the Somerset festival with their hotly anticipated new arena, Pangea.

Featuring a 50 metre high decommissioned dock crane at its centre that weighs in a whopping 140 tonnes, the sculpture has been described as ‘the beginning of a new evolutionary journey.’

Annie will be closing the stage on Saturday night after Fat Boy Eats Everything, marking her return to Arcadia after seminal performances on the iconic Spider both at Glastonbury and in Bristol’s Grade 1 listed Queen Square to celebrate the city’s year as European Green Capital.

Annie said, “I can’t wait to be part of the next chapter from the behemoth that is Glastonbury’s Arcadia, Pangea - closing the Saturday night on a 50 metre tall, 140 tonne crane!”

Arcadia founders Pip Rush and Bert Cole said “It’s brilliant to have Annie joining us for the beginning of the Pangea journey. She’s always brought a really special atmosphere to Arcadia and we can’t wait to see what she’s got in store for us this year.”
