It's been a turbulent year for music fans in Bristol, after their hopes of having an arena built in the near future were dashed earlier this month.
Plans were in place for the city to finally have an arena on Temple Island, next to Temple Meads, but the city will now explore a site at Filton for its long awaited concert venue - which means waiting even longer.

But it seems the lack of an arena has not stopped a stadium-sized act planning something special for the city, as a huge gig is set to be announced this morning.
While details are strictly under wraps until after 8am, it looks as though it is going to be one of the most popular shows the city has seen in years.

The price of standard tickets is yet to be announced, but Ashton Gate has revealed that hospitality packages will start from £225.

Where will it be?
With no arena, and Bristol’s biggest concert venue - Colston Hall - closed for major refurbishment, this huge gig will be held in a different location for the city. There are a couple of places we think it’s likely to be held, but the question is, will it be indoors?
