Primrose Fete to go ahead in Bromsgrove tomorrow, whatever the weather

Bromsgrove Editorial 21st Jun, 2019   0

THE popular Primrose Hospice Summer Fete returns tomorrow promising fun for all the family whatever the weather.

The day may follow a week of torrential rain but the fete promises to bring a bit of sunshine to visitors who will enjoy entertainment, stalls, food and a chance to find out more about the hospice’s services.

Currently, the weather forecast is predicting a dry day for tomorrow with highs of around 18C so the fete should be a great way to kick-start the summer.

Television and radio presenter Joanne Malin, a Bromsgrove resident, will officially open the fete at the hospice on St Godwalds Roadat 12pm.

Guests can meet Trevor the dog and guess his weight, enjoy performances by The Primrose Choir, Bromsgrove Rock Choir and Bromsgrove Rock School as well as enjoy talks on the hospice’s services.

There will also be all the usual stalls, games and food stands which everyone will enjoy.

Emma Williams, fund-raising Manager at the Primrose Hospice, said: “We are really looking forward to our Summer Fete.

“It’s always great to welcome so many people to the hospice and see how much everyone enjoys the stalls, activities and entertainment we have planned.

“Come rain or shine it will be going ahead but it looks like it is going to be a lovely summer’s day so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

“Whatever the weather, the Summer Fete is always a great event packed full of fun and we can’t wait to see you all there.

“Every penny raised at the Summer Fete goes towards providing free care and support to people with life-limiting conditions living in our community.

“Primrose also provides supports to their families but cannot do this without your help to raise £1.75million annually.”

The fete runs until 4pm and people are being asked to either lift share or consider walking if they live close enough to the hospice.
