A former boss at Willmott Dixon has added another non-executive role to his CV after being named non-exec chairman of Preston-based Collinson Construction.

John Frankiewicz spent 28 years at Willmott Dixon stepping down at the end of 2014, where he was the divisional chief executive of the firm’s capital works division.

Collinson specialises in tensile and modular construction, with projects ranging from bespoke sports facilities, warehousing and manufacturing facilities to exhibition venues.

The firm launched a construction division last month to specialise in commercial, industrial and education sectors.

In its last set of accounts filed at Companies House, Collinson had a turnover of £22m and posted a pre-tax profit of £1.8m in the year to April 2018.

Frankiewicz (pictured) is also a non-exec director of fit-out firm Troy Group and was a non-exec at M&E contractor Briggs & Forrester until the end of last year.
