One Radish Eatery, which opened in Richmond in December of 2016, is “indefinitely closed” as of Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant’s owners announced Thursday morning on Facebook.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we must let you know One Radish Eatery is indefinitely closed as of yesterday afternoon,” owners Ryan and Jessica Bunce wrote Thursday on Facebook. They also posted the note on the One Radish Eatery website.

“We tried our best to make it successful but fell behind and can no longer run our establishment,” according to the announcement. “We absolutely loved our RAD customers, the amazing community, meeting so many new friends, and rekindling old friendships. We will keep you posted when and if things change. THANK YOU!”

The Bunces opened One Radish Eatery in the former Parkside Kitchen in Richmond. “I feel like it’s going to be a perfect fit for us as well as for Richmond,” Jessica Bunce, who grew up in nearby Jericho, told the Burlington Free Press in August 2016, months before One Radish Eatery opened.

The Bunces continue to operate Barrio Bakery in the Old North End of Burlington, which they opened in September of 2010. The Bunces did not immediately respond to email and Facebook requests for comment Thursday morning.
