A man found dead on the roof of the building housing Mr. Mike's Pizza appears to have died by suicide, according to Burlington Police D.C. Jan Wright.

Police on Tuesday are continuing their investigation into the death of the man, who was spotted Monday afternoon. Police are still working to identify him, describing him only as a "male white, apparently in his late 20s."

Police said they believe there is no danger to the public related to the death. The man's body has been brought to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office for official identification and determination of his cause and manner of death.

Wright said a person on the third floor of the building that houses Nectar's — which is next to the Mr. Mike's building — spotted the man's body.

"Burlington Police dispatch was notified that a male appeared to be asleep on the roof of 202 Main Street, the building that houses ESOX, Mirabelles Café & Bakery, and Mr. Mike's," police wrote in news release issued Tuesday morning.

"The on-site forensic investigation, which included two blue-topped evidence tents erected on the roof of the building in the rain, naturally occasioned some attention from our neighbors," police wrote in the release.

Police urge anyone who might have information about the incident to contact Burlington police at (802) 658-2704.
