Activists, organizers, and protesters alike will be in attendance Saturday for the fourth annual Women's March Vermont.

Coinciding with demonstrations that will occur across the country, Vermont organizers will be holding their event at Castleton University's Casella Theater on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The initial 2017 Women's March, following President Trump's inauguration, brought out a record number of protesters in Vermont and Washington D.C. An estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people were at the event held at the Vermont State House in Montpelier, police reported at the time.

Speakers and hosts for this year's "Womxn Rising Vermont" march will include keynote speaker and Penn. representative Summer Lee, vice chair of Bennington Democrats Mia Schultz, UVM student Sade Bolger and union leader Sarah Williams.

The day's events will go from 12 to 3 p.m. For those unable to make it to Castleton, organizers will set up a livestream to broadcast the day's events. Supporters are also encouraged to host their own "action party" with family, friends and neighbors.
