If you're lucky enough to have a three-day weekend for Presidents Day, Ski Vermont says you should hit the slopes.

Winter Storm Maya, which landed in Vermont on Tuesday and Wednesday, dropped between half a foot to a foot of fresh snow at ski areas throughout the state. Ski Vermont, a nonprofit, called it a "perfectly-timed" storm in advance of the holiday weekend, according to a news release.

A few more inches of snow Friday are expected to top off the already fresh blanket of powder.

Some ski areas have events planned for Presidents Day weekend and the week after that, such as Sugarbush Resort. According to a news release, the resort has planned more than 40 events spanning from Saturday until Sunday, Feb, 24.
