Where to take Dad for Father's Day? Here's some Burlington events happening this weekend

Father's Day is making its appearance on June 16 this year. If you aren't sure where you want to take your dad this year or want something new, check out some of the events happening in Vermont this weekend to spark some inspiration.

Some are Father's Day specific, others are ongoing summer events you and Dad can continue going to after this weekend.  

Father's Day events in Burlington

Father's Day Dinner Rail & Sail, June 16, 2-7 p.m. 

This ride from Burlington to Middlebury is a chance to get onto Lake Champlain and spend some quality time with your dad while enjoying a bite to eat. The event is hosted by Green Mountain Railroad Passenger Services and tickets are $89 for adults, $63 for children.

Father's Day BBQ Bash! June 16, noon-6 p.m. 

Switchback Brewing Company and McKenzie Deli are joining forces for the release of a new beer. Live music and games are available, so this can be an option if you want to kick back and relax with dad.

Father of Cheese: A Father's Day Food Tasting, June 15, 1-2 p.m.

You can start celebrating Father's Day a day early with Dedalus Wine Shop, Market, & Wine Bar Saturday afternoon. You can pop in to Pine Street location for an hour and get some Parmigiano samples for any other festivities you and dad have planned. 

Boom City Father's Day Dadtacular! June 15 at 7:30 p.m. 

Loosen up with a little comedy this weekend at the Revelry Theater. Sandy Manning will offer stand-up entertainment while Kai Stanley covers the musical-guest territory. 

You can purchase tickets for the event on the theater's website for $7. 

Ongoing events happening in Burlington this summer

You don't have to just use Father's Day events to celebrate your dad. You can promise to take him to some of the ongoing events happening in town throughout the summer too.
