Thanks to move-in weekend, your cars can find free, temporary homes around Burlington for the next few days.

College students can find a couple hours of reprieve around the Queen City as they get ready for the new year. A ParkMobile promotion running from Aug. 22 through Aug. 26 is allowing free parking for up to two hours at metered street spots.

The city's Community and Economic Development Office, Church Street Marketplace and Park Burlington collaborated on the promotion — paid with business assistance funds through Brookfield.

How to get free metered parking in Burlington

You'll need to get the ParkMobile app on your phone and select a time frame that does not exceed two hours. The promotion won't work for 30-minute zones and lots covered under the app.

You can check ParkBurlington.com for details and an interactive map.

The parking offer aligns with the two-free-hour rules implemented in municipal garage around the city, according to a news release detailing the promotion
