If you're used to taking Interstate 91, you might need to plan for a detour on your commute.

The state's Agency of Transportation listed a "multi-week ledge removal project" on its website. The project is slated for the interstate around Fairlee. This goes for people going south between exits 16 and 15.

What does this mean for commuters?

Basically, everything's taken care of. You'll have a detour available. All you have to do is factor in a couple more minutes into your drive.

Construction on U.S. 5 under Interstate 91.

This shutdown comes in light of potential dangers facing drivers in the winter, according to a report from NBC 5. Specifically, boulder materials could dislodge and threaten commuters.
