Top graduated seniors from Vermont and New Hampshire will resume the states' annual lacrosse rivalry with the 27th Byrne Cup games on June 22.

The Twin State doubleheader, sponsored by the Hanover (N.H.) Lions, is slated to start with the girls game at 1:45 p.m. at Lebanon High School. The boys game follows at 4:15 p.m. Admission is free for both games but donations are encouraged.

The Granite State swept last year's doubleheader, following a sweep in 2017 as well. The New Hampshire boys prevailed 19-7 and the girls topped Vermont 17-10.

Mount Anthony's Emily Cross is the head coach for the Vermont girls squad, assisted by Middlebury's Brandi Whittemore and Colchester's Chantel Wilkin.

South Burlington coach Gar Smith will lead the Vermont boys with the help of Ed Dinardo and Kenny Phillips.
