Vermont roster announced for the 2019 Twin State Baseball Classic

The Vermont roster for the annual Twin State Baseball Classic features 18 of the top senior players from 13 schools and across four divisions, the state coaches' association said in announcing the list on Friday.

The 2019 showdown against New Hampshire's recently graduated stars is set for June 22 at the Maxfield Complex in White River Junction.

Pre-game festivities will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by the first pitch of Game 1. The states will meet in a pair of seven-inning contests.

Admission is free.

The 2019 Vermont team:

BFA St. Albans: Colby Brouillette (C). Black River: Zach Paul (IF/OF). Brattleboro: Adam Newton (IF/RHP). Burr and Burton: Daniel Hatheway (IF), Chandler Pouk (IF). Champlain Valley: Ian Parent (1B/LHP), Aiden Johnson (IF), Tyler Skaflestad (IF). Essex:  Robby Meslin (OF), Tyler Millette (C). Fair Haven: Aaron Szabo (OF). Middlebury: Wyatt Cameron (IF/RHP). Mount Mansfield:  Becket Hill (IF/RHP). Otter Valley: Josh Beayon (1B/LHP). Oxbow: Cody Grant (OF/RHP). Rice: Matt Guyette (IF/RHP), Griffin McDermott (IF/RHP). Rutland: Justin Aker (OF).

The Vermont coaches are Nick DeCaro (Danville), Shawn French (Oxbow), Edward Lewicki (Burr and Burton) and Roy Sargent (Missisquoi).

Originally held from 1983 to 2004, the rivalry returned to the diamond in June 2015. Vermont won a pair last season, 8-1 and 10-3, the first sweep since its resumption, after the two teams split six one-run games in the three previous years.
