Thirteen has submitted a planning application to build 145 new homes at Gresham in Middlesbrough.

The affordable new homes, which will be two, three and four bedrooms and a mix of houses, apartments and bungalows, are planned on land between Diamond Road and Union Street.

Following consultation with residents last year Thirteen received some fantastic feedback and suggestions which have helped shape the final designs for the planning application.

Subject to planning approval being secured, Thirteen aims to start work on the new homes early in 2021.

Ian Wardle, Thirteen’s chief executive, said: “Gresham has an amazing community spirit and subject to planning approval we’re really looking forward to working with Middlesbrough Council and Homes England on delivering these great long-awaited new homes.

“With strong access links to the town centre and within walking distance to all of the key amenities we know there will be demand for these modern affordable homes.”
